Kotimainen Pink Floyd -tribuuttiorkesteri Pulse esiintyy Tampereen Pakkahuoneella lauantaina 1.3.2014. Noin 2,5 tunnin shown ohjelmassa on useita Pink Floydin klassikkoteoksia sekä näiden lisäksi yksi kokonainen albumi. Tällä kertaa Pulsen käsittelyssä on vuonna 1977 julkaistu konseptialbumi Animals.
Animals on järjestyksessään Pink Floydin 10. studioalbumi. Levyn sanoitukset kertovat eläinlajeista, joita verrataan erilaisiin ihmistyyppeihin ja heidän asemaansa yhteiskunnassa. Konsepti perustuu löyhästi George Orwellin kirjaan Eläinten vallankumous (1945). Animalsilla yhtye otti askeleen kohti yhteiskuntakriittisempää linjaa ja lähestyi teemojen ja musiikkinsa puolesta vuonna 1979 julkaistua monumentaalista The Wall -albumia.
Pulse on vuodesta 2005 toiminut tamperelainen tribuuttiorkesteri, joka on erikoistunut Pink Floydin musiikkiin. Soiton lisäksi yhtye panostaa myös shown visuaaliseen ilmeeseen esikuvansa tavoin. Yhtye keikkailee nykyään harvakseltaan, mutta luvassa on aina mittava show. Aiemmista konserteista mainittakoon loppuunmyyty Pakkahuoneen konsertti helmikuussa 2013, ulkoilmakonsertti Tampereen Venetsialaisilla yli kymmentuhatpäiselle yleisölle elokuussa 2013 sekä tieteiselokuva Avaruuslaivan (1918) livesäestys Tampereen elokuvajuhlilla vuonna 2012.

We are delighted to announce our new Pink Floyd tribute show to take place in Pakkahuone, Tampere on March 1st 2014. In 2012 we had lasers, in 2013 we played for sold out Pakkahuone and in 2014 we plan to have both and even more.
The Finnish Pink Floyd tribute group Pulse performs Pink Floyd's 1977 concept album Animals in its entirety together with assorted classics from other albums of the legendary progressive rock band.
Animals is Pink Floyd’s tenth studio album. Loosely based on the ideas presented by George Orwell in his 1945 dystopian novel Animal Farm, the lyrics of the album portray different human characteristics and reflect the hierarchies and the power relations of the society. Both the themes in the lyrics and the musical style of the group later evolved to the 1979 monumental album The Wall.
Pulse was formed in 2005 in Tampere, Finland. The group specializes in reproducing both the sonic qualities and the visual elements of the original Pink Floyd shows. During the past two years, Pulse has played to a sold out Pakkahuone, to an audience of over 10 000 people in Tampereen Venetsialaiset and also improvised a live soundtrack for the 1918 science fiction movie Himmelskibet in Tampere Film Festival.
